1 ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Below is a guide of the suggested structure and content of your assignment.
Choose ONE of the summary articles on page 3 (here) to use for your poster and reflection. You
will need to read the article carefully and use that and your wider reading to undertake the task
below.
If you prefer, you may choose your own article, this must be agreed with your lecturer at least a
week before the deadline. Your article needs to link to Developmental Psychology, Social
Psychology or Biological Psychology.
This task has 2 parts:
Part 1. PowerPoint Slides
Part 2: The Written Reflection
Part 1. PowerPoint Slides
A title slide (1 slide)
Introduction (1 slide)
Provide a brief overview of the Article (summarise the article briefly). You could
include a summary of what the research was about and what the researchers'
findings were.
The Perspective(s) (1-2 slides)
Identify which psychological perspective(s) you think is most evident in the article
(biological, social or developmental). Explain your answer - why do you think this
perspective is most evident?

A template will be made available on Moodle.
●
Provide an appropriate definition of the perspective(s) in your own words, using at
least one reference.
Real World Applications (1 slide)
Explain how the findings of the article could be used in the real world. You could
consider who might use the findings and/or who the findings might help.
Part 2: The Written Reflection

Issues regarding submission
Submission procedure
The assignment must be submitted electronically to the assigned Turnitin submission inbox
on the Moodle module page via the University of Chester Portal before 1pm on the due
date.
Any late submissions will result in a 5-mark Late Work Penalty per 24 hours.
Any submissions over seven days late will not be marked and result in a zero. If a deferral
is approved (see below), you will submit at the next assessment opportunity.
Submissions must consist of .pdf or PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) files. If you have problems
uploading, it is advised that you save the final piece as a .pdf and submit the .pdf to Turnitin.
Submissions in the wrong file type will not be processed or marked. If Turnitin does not
accept your submission because it is the wrong file type, this will not be an acceptable
reason for mitigation (Section 7.3 of the Assessment Regulations).
