Washington University in St. Louis OLIN BUSINESS SCHOOL DAT 560E Data Visualization for Business Insights Final Group Project Description Students are required to work on a final project in teams of at most three members per group that will use ideas and methods learned from the class. Specifically, each group will choose one or multiple real-world datasets related to business, manufacturing, social, economic, political, sports, educational, environmental, or healthcare issues and use Tableau to create a data story. This project may involve collecting the relevant data, selecting performance criteria, and generating views, dashboards, and story points. It must consist of at least three dashboards, including one exploratory dashboard. The dashboards created for the individual dashboard project must not be included here. The story must include at least one worksheet filter, one parameter, one dashboard filter action, and one dashboard highlight action. A group#.twbx file and a PowerPoint slide deck must be submitted to explain the data used, procedures employed, the different views, dashboards, story points considered, and recommendations. The objective of the PowerPoint slide set is to allow your viewers to gain insights from your analysis without help from anyone else. Every group member will receive the same grade assigned to the project. Note: Datasets may be found from the list of open data sources.
