Question

We talked a bit in class about the possibility of psychological biases (such as framing effects, lossavoidance, etc) affecting our moral judgment. Another issue that came up briefly was theinfluence of cultural background on ethical intuitions. What do we think, do these influencescreate problems for the use of thought experiments like the trolley problem? If we can't use ourintuitive reactions to this sort of thought experiment to get good evidence about ethical facts, then where can we get such evidence?
