WHAT is an F-value? You know this! When you are testing the difference between the means

of more than 2 groups on one factor (using an ANOVA), you calculate an F value, the test

statistic that you need to evaluate the hypothesis that there is a difference between the groups!

After calculating the "F" value, be sure to also look for the "p" value. Excel will tell you whether

the F value is significant, based on the "p" value (p < 0.05 is considered statistically

significant). You can also use the table B3 in your textbook to evaluate the F value. You will

need the df within (numerator), the df between (denominator), and use the 0.05 alpha level. A

calculated F value that is *higher than the table value is considered statistically significant.
