What values-personal values, health care values and societal values- influence how each of you, as the RN, would relate to the parent?

Ans) This case study is related to vaccine hesitancy. Being a registered nurse (RN), I should adhere to my personal and professional values without compromising on providing equitable healthcare services. The personal values that influence us as RNs would be honesty, responsibility, and intelligence. Honesty in performing duties diligently, responsibly conveying vaccine awareness and administering them safely, and intelligently handling any crisis that may arise. The specific healthcare values will be professionalism, altruism, and compassion. When confronting parents about vaccines, one must be altruistic enough to understand the patient’s benefit, compassionate enough to empathise with their situation, and professional enough to abide by the demands of the profession. The societal values will be social justice, integrity, and morality while performing the duties. One must get rid of the vaccine hesitancy in the target population by advocating the importance of vaccines in an ethical manner, providing equitable access for all and maintaining homogeneity and justice, and actively manage the tasks with diligence and integrity (Rassin, 2008).
