synchronous reactance of 10 per phase and an armature resistance

of 10 per phase. The generator supplies 12-MVA load with 0.9 power

factor lagging at 20.5-kV. Neglecting the impedance of the lines

between the terminals of the generator and the load, find the

following:

(a) The value of EA (per phase).

(b) The efficiency of the generator. [efficiency =100% *(Pout/Pin)]
