1. Consider the reaction A→ 4 B, -TA = KCA², with A and B ideal gases in an isothermal (600K), constant-pressure PFR reactor, and a feed of pure A with k=0.1 litre/mol/min and FAO- 0.5 moles/min. The volumetric flow rate of A entering the reactor is v. = 10 dm³/min.

a. Find an expression for CA, CB, FA, and FB as functions of conversion,X. If you cannot do an integral in either of these expressions without a reference, stop at the integral equations and then proceed with the next part using a tool such as Polymath, Excel, or MatLab.

b. Find V for 80% conversion in a PFR.
