Assignment 2- Multivariable Calculus
Part 1: Consider the motion of a drone hovering over flat terrain at a constant height of 10 m.
Its position as a function of time, t, is given by:
(a) Find the velocity and speed of the drone as a function of time.
(b) Find a relationship between the distance travelled by the drone and the time clapsed (i.c. are length function).
(c) Find the distance travelled by the drone between 5 and 10 seconds into its flight. You may either use your are length function from before, or an alternate method.
(d) Find the total acceleration of the drone. In addition, determine both the tangential and normal components of the acceleration.
