Question

Q3) The auxiliary power unit for trucks (APU) provides air conditioning during driving breaks while eliminating the need to idle the engine. This technology could help eliminate large quantity of carbon dioxide emissions from truck idling. Designing such APU requires considering the house of quality of such design. The APU has a maximum weight of 75 kg with a turbine weight of 3kg and 2.5 kW shaft power. It operates at control inlet temperature of 1000°C. The target of bleeding air will be specified at later stage. Consider using a house of quality (HoQ) to explore the Auxiliary Power Unit for trucks (APU). A manufacturer wants to explore the possibility of designing an APU that satisfy the drivers (Who). The information and the table below are prepared by the designer for HoQ elements (Hows, Whats, Who, Now and Target (How much)). Do the followings; Use the information given in the table below to construct the complete HoQ (make sure the What's, the Who's, the How's, the Now's and Targets are shown in the HoQ) Use the given ranking values and the Symbols to a) Use the information given below to construct the complete HoQ b) Do tradeoff between How's Versus How's c) Rank the evaluation of the Who (Drivers) versus What's d) Rank the evaluation of the How's versus What's e) Calculate the importance rating of the How's
