Question

(20pt) A 3 wt% ammonia solution is fed in vaporizer at a rate of 130 lbm/hr and 1 atm. The enthalpy of the feed solution relative to the reference conditions

is 100 BTU/lbm (reference 1 atm and water at 32°F, ammonia at -40°F). The liquid composition of ammonia is to be 2 wt%. Use the enthalpy-concentration diagram for ammonia to determine the temperature of the stream leaving the tank, the mass fraction of ammonia in the vapor product, the flow rates of the liquid and vapor product streams, and the rate at which heat must be transferred to the system. Complete the followings (1)Drawing/labeling a diagram (2) Show mass & energy balances (3) Attach your enthalpy-concentration diagram chart with the points and circles that you collected for the problem solving (4)Show calculation procedure with unit conversion in detail.
