P1.7 Create a solid model of the pleated filter element. Dimensions shown are

inches, and the diameter dimensions shown are nominal dimensions. There

are 36 pleats in the part, and the part is 8 inches long.

To create this part, start a sketch with two construction circles representing

the nominal inner and outer diameters. Add and dimension two lines

representing one pleat, and use a circular pattern to copy these two lines

into the other 35 positions. Select the Extruded Boss Tool. Since the

sketch is an open contour, a thin-feature extrusion will be created. Set the

thickness to 0.02 inches, and set the type as Mid-Plane.
