Two infinitely long thin wires carrying charges are vertically aligned as shown in the figure with wire (1)placed at the origin. The wires are separated by the distance 4.0 cm. The observation point 1 indicated as a yellow dot in the figure is placed halfway between the wires (1) and (2). The second observation point 2 is placed1.5 cm to the right of the wire (2). The linear charge density of wire (1) is gamma1 = -5.5 µC/m (negative), the linear charge density of wire (2) is gamma2 = +2.5 µC/m (positive).
