- POSITION ANALYSIS. An offset slider-crank mechanism consists of 4 links: Link 1: ground, point A, and a slider track passing through point D, shown below. RAD=60 mm. Link 2:

moving, endpoints A & B, R = 80 mm%3D Link 3: moving, endpoints B & C, R = 120 mm Link 4: moving slider, point C Input : 02 = -80° (i.e. clockwise)%3D (A) There are two possible solutions for the position of this mechanism. Using a graphical approach (ruler,compass, and/or protractor), roughly sketch out both solutions. You do not need to report measured values. (B) Draw out the vector loop and write out the vector loop equation with annotated unknowns. (C) Using trigonometry, calculate both unknowns for the solution with the slider on the right side of the page. (D) Using algebra , calculate both unknowns for the solution with the slider on the right side of the page.
